A lot of this is shot in “almost real time” as I walk you through Phil Laplante’s home and salvage yard business up in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Phil was one of my crew on the HGTV show I hosted long ago (“Tiny House Builders”- 2014), and is quite a fascinating guy. He makes a living both building AND deconstructing barns all over New England and does quite a bit of flipping, picking, architectural salvage, and flea market scouring for interesting bargains. I have traveled many times to Phil’s place to pick up old wide plank lumber, antique doors, and lots more for my build.
