About this space
Arden Tiny Home is a tranquil experience amongst the trees. A cozy fireplace, two lofts, fully stocked kitchen, spacious shower and a beautiful outdoor deck with a propane fire table and patio heater.
Tiny in name but spacious in feel. Unique experiences like a self-composting toilet and skylight above your low ceilinged very comfy bed. Conveniently located near Cumberland, Comox and Courtenay.
One note: you must be agile enough to climb into the loft to enjoy this beautifully styled space.
The space
Location: We are located centrally between Cumberland and Courtenay.
You will need a vehicle to get here and explore.
4 mins to Driftwood Mall (Canadian Tire, Quality Foods, London Drugs, Liquor Barn); 5 mins to downtown Cumberland; 10 mins to Downtown Courtenay; 10 mins to Downtown Comox; 30mins to Mount Washington Alpine Resort.
Sleeping: There are 2 open lofts at either end of the tiny home. One has steps to access and the other a ladder. Each loft has a comfy queen bed with a duvet. There is not a lot of clearance between the mattress and the ceiling, but it still feels open due to the beautiful large skylight and windows. There are blackout blinds for the skylights and blinds or curtains for all windows. There are extra pillows and blankets available on the main floor.
TV: There is a 45” TV above the electric fireplace making for a very cozy movie experience. There is access to Netflix, Disney+ and Cable.
Office: There is a comfortable desk area with Wi-Fi access.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully stocked with all things needed to make a good meal. Propane stove & oven, toaster oven and BBQ outside (no microwave).
There is a French Press to make coffee. Coffee (Kicking Horse) and loose tea (Denman Island Tea) are provided.
Bathroom: There is a full-sized glass shower and self-composting toilet. Instructions for the toilet are posted in the bathroom and the Arden Tiny Home Guest Information Book. Essentially, it’s a flush-less (and odourless!) experience 🙂
Water: We are on a well, so we ask that you be mindful of your water consumption.
Outside: The tiny home has its own separate driveway to a very private, tree-filled corner of a 3-acre residential property. There is a propane fire table & patio heater on the deck to enjoy your outdoor time. The main house is on the property, but not in view of the tiny home.
Storage Shed: locked/ secure storage for bikes, skis and snowboards
Dog: We have a large friendly dog named Logan who may come to visit. If this is something you’re not comfortable with, please let us know and we will ensure to keep Logan near the main house.
Please no pets, smoking or parties on property.
