The highlights
Glorious off-grid hut in a beautiful and remote spot in the Dorset countryside.
The hosts provide a rather generous welcome hamper of local nibbles for you to enjoy.
Outdoor copper bath! An absolute joy tucked under a couple of trees.
A fire pit that doubles as a BBQ for al fresco dining under the stars.
The ever popular wood burner for extra cosy nights in your gorgeous little retreat.
The hosts have provided board games and books if you fancy some screen free time too!
You should know
If possible please aim to arrive during day light as The Heron is a 15min walk from the car park. You are provided with a wheel barrow to take your things with you. Alternatively the owner is available to take your belongings (and you down to the site by car) You will need to arrange this with the owner pre arrival.
Free roaming of the farm is not possible due to the cattle. Please stick to footpaths.
Please note the huts are based on and next to working farms.
Please note that the path to the Heron is unlit and at times muddy so please bring wellies and torches
Children over the age of 6 are welcome. Please be aware that the tiny barn is sited near to open water and that the child’s sleeping area is up high.
Babe in arms (non walking) are welcome and a travel cot can be provided.
Sadly no dogs are allowed in this space.
