Mice invading your home, tiny house, work studio, shed or garage, but you don’t want to take ’em out in a horrible way? Well, here’s a simple ”spin” (pun intended, I guess) on the old ”Bucket of Doom” mousetrap- one I’ve employed in my VT off Grid cabin and had GREAT results with. It 100% works and its cheap and EASY to make. All your need is a 5 gallon bucket for this DIY project, a coat hanger or thin metal rod, a thin plank (free pallet wood piece?) and a coffee can- which you probably already have, or soon will. Soda bottles and other bottles can be used for the spinning element as well. In most cases buckets can be found roadside for nothing, so this really could be dubbed a FREE mouse trap. Regardless, this catch and release trap is so easy to make that it shouldn’t take more than ten minutes to assemble.
